NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR UNSUNG HEROES AWARD 2014
The Rotary Club of Woden Daybreak is proud to partner with the Woden Valley Festival 2014 to organise the Unsung Heroes Award again. Nominations are now open!
An award to celebrate selfless individuals, community groups and businesses who give their time and talents to make the Woden community a better place.
Woden Community Service & The Rotary Club of Woden Daybreak are calling for nominations for the Unsung Heroes Award from the Woden community, showcasing a commitment and passion . in the following categories:
* Individuals
* Business
* Schools and their supporters
* Non-government organisations, such as sporting, social and community groups
The recipients will be presented with awards during the Woden Valley Festival on 8 November 2014 at Eddison Park, Woden.
The Unsung Heroes award has grown to become a symbol of recognition and appreciation throughout the Woden Valley community, with a broad range of nominations being received over the past six years.
Rob Forrester, President of the Rotary Club of Woden Daybreak, says that there are many people in the Woden Valley community who work selflessly for the betterment of the community. "These people generally go about their work not seeking recognition but go the extra mile to assist local organisations in achieving great success."
HOW TO NOMINATE:
Nominations should be addressed to Rotary Club of Woden Daybreak PO Box 99, WODEN ACT 2606 or emailed to wodendaybreak@outlook.com by cob Friday 17 October 2014 .
The nominations must include the name, postal address, phone number and/or email of the nominee, and a short summary of their community contribution.
