TOPIC: iPad apps for people with Cognitive
Impairment & Video conferencing demonstration
SIMPLE iPad Apps-People with intellectual/cognitive impairment have a lot to gain from iPads. This session will explore simple apps for writing, drawing, making choices, remembering daily activities, telling stories, showing pictures, preparing shopping lists and just having fun!
VIDEOCONFERENCING AS A TOOL FOR ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY SERVICES-For people in regional and rural areas, and for others who are unable to travel, videoconferencing via Skype is an attractive option for receiving advice, training and tech support. This session will examine the advantages and limitations of videoconferencing for people with disabilities and will include a live demonstration.
