Hartley Lifecare AT Workshop

Hartley Lifecare is pleased to continue in 2013 with a series of
Assistive Technology workshops to be held throughout the year for people
with a disability; carers and disability support workers throughout the
ACT & surrounding region.

PRESENTED BY: Dr Graeme Smith of Ability Technology.
Ability Technology are national experts in the application of modern
technology to the needs of people with a disability.
NEXT WORKSHOP: Wednesday 13th February 2pm- 4pm
VENUE: 6 Hodgson Place in Pearce

This workshop will cover TWO topics;

Topic 1: SIMPLE iPad Apps
People with intellectual/cognitive impairment have a lot to gain from
iPads. This session will explore simple apps for writing, drawing,
making choices, remembering daily activities, telling stories, showing
pictures, preparing shopping lists and just having fun!

Topic 2: VIDEOCONFERENCING AS A TOOL FOR ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
For people in regional and rural areas, and for others who are unable to
travel, videoconferencing via Skype is an attractive option for
receiving advice, training and tech support. This session will examine
the advantages and limitations of videoconferencing for people with
disabilities and will include a live demonstration.


$30.00 Per Person / No charge for people with a disability

this workshop
