IT COURSES - CHARITY COMPUTERS AUSTRALIA (CCA) Courses are starting soon in
the Certificate II and III in Information, Digital Media & Technology.
Cert II provides you with a range of practical skills to competently set up
and use your computer: keep your computer safe and use IT skills at work.
The course covers areas such as:
. Using common office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and
PowerPoint
. Protecting yourself on the Internet and when using Email
. Connecting hardware such as printers
. Installing/uninstalling software programs
. Using social media for collaboration
The course runs 2 days a week for 10 weeks. There is a student admin fee of
$300.
Cert III covers more advanced skills and is an introductory course to
working in the IT industry. The course covers topics such as:
. Installing and optimising operating systems
. Maintaining computer hardware/software
. Diagnosing computer problems
. Building and repairing computers
. Basic computer networking and network support
The course runs 3 days a week for 17 weeks. There is a student admin fee of
$400.
Government funding for the courses are available through the PSP (Priorities
Support Program) in the following criteria:
. Jobseeker with a disability
. Jobseeker who is mature aged
. Jobseeker who is youth (17-24yrs) at risk
. Volunteer with a disability . Volunteer who is mature aged
. Volunteer who is youth (17-24yrs) at risk
. Casual with a disability
. Casual who is mature aged
. Casual who is youth (17-24yrs) at risk
. Jobseeker, volunteer or casual with a Certificate II or below
Courses are commencing in February.
Please note the following dates:
Orientation - Tuesday 5th February 2013 at 10.30am
Certificate II starts Wednesday 13th February
Certificate III starts Tuesday 19th February
To enrol for either course, you can come into our offices at 20 Cartwright
Street, Charnwood, between 10am and 4.30pm Wednesday to Friday.
Alternatively, you can go into Unity College at Level 1 Belconnen Churches
Centre, 54 Benjamin Way, Belconnen, between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
