Hello there
We know that being connected with others through groups and clubs is essential for our health and wellbeing.*
Unfortunately, many people find it difficult to join groups, or even know what groups exist in the community.
In response to this, ACT Government has partnered with Belconnen and Woden Community Services to bring over 80 groups and clubs together under one roof, to show the community what they do, and open their doors for people to join.
So come along to the inaugural Connect and Participate Expo on Saturday 29th March at the Old Bus Depot Markets in Kingston. From 11am to 4pm you can experience a huge array of Canberra’s diverse, vibrant and inclusive social groups and clubs. From art/craft groups to music, dance, drama, sport, outdoor rec, hobbies and special interest groups.
There will be live performances, workshops, children’s entertainment, information stalls, prizes and raffles; and of course the wonderful Kingston Market food stalls will be there!
Entry to the Expo is free, and Canberrans of all ages, abilities and backgrounds are welcome! For those who experience barriers to participation, there will be a seminar room with speakers an information stalls about NDIS.

Please distribute this email and the attached (2 page) flier as widely as possible.
