Do you or any of your clients & contacts have any feedback about the
Canberra Hospital's Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit (which includes the
'Liver Clinic')? We want to hear about any positive or negative patient
experiences in relation to the management of referrals, triaging and waiting
lists; clinic bookings, patients seen - initial appointments vs reviews,
availability of doctors and rooms. Information provided will not identify
any individual.
Hepatitis ACT has been asked to provide input to a performance audit of the
administration of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit (GEHU) at
Canberra Hospital by the ACT Auditor-General, Dr Maxine Cooper. The audit
will provide an independent opinion to the Legislative Assembly on the
effectiveness of the administration and triaging practices of the outpatient
services provided by the GEHU.

As advocates for and representatives of people affected by hepatitis B and
hepatitis C, it is important for us to first seek the input of people with
lived experience. If you can help directly, or you can put us in touch with
someone who can, please contact Hepatitis ACT before 5pm on Monday 17 March
2014. Your anonymity is assured.
