Self Advocacy for Women: course for women with disabilities

Do you want to learn more about:
* Speaking up for yourself?
* Having the confidence to say no?
* Taking care of yourself?
* Who to ask for advice or support?
* Feeling safe in your intimate relationships?

Come and join us for a self-advocacy course and learn the skills to say
what you want

What are they?
Our courses teach self-advocacy skills, such as making decisions, having
your say and setting goals. We also look at ways you can keep yourself
safe. This course is designed for women with disabilities.
Our next Self Advocacy course for women will be running from late April
through June 2012.

Who can come?
Women with disabilities living in the ACT. Classes are kept small, up
to 6 people. If you require support to attend you will need to provide
your own, but please contact us if you are having trouble finding
someone to support you, we may be able to help.
If you are interested in attending a men's or mixed course, please
contact us.

How long is the course?
8 weeks, 2 hours per week.

Where are the courses held?
All courses are held in accessible training rooms.

How much does it cost?
Free.
