ACT Schools & Special Needs

For some reason the department likes to keep it a bit of a secret which schools have Learning Support Units (LSU), Learning Support Unit - Autism (LSUA) or a Learning Support Centre (LSC) or a gifted program.  It's quite valuable information for parents such as us, who are considering moving to a school with a unit to get more suitable support for our child.  Of course all schools with / without a unit should be inclusive schools.

UPDATE - I have been told the department has handed out a list of schools to parents attending education sessions for next year - hopefully it might make it onto their website soon~!

This list will be an evolving list so please comment below with any additions or subtractions that need to be made. I've started it based on what I can find on each school's website.

NORTHSIDE
Amaroo School (K-10) - LSUA x 2, gifted
Aranda PS - gifted
Bonner PS - LSU
Curtin PS - gifted & LSU
Evatt PS - LSU , LSUA & LSC
Giralang PS - LSC
Gold Creek school - Senior site has "Gold" program (gifted?) & LSUA
         Junior site also has Gold program
Harrison PS - pretty sure they have a unit, but not on their website
Hawker PS - gifted
Kaleen PS - gifted
Kaleen HS - LSU & LSUA
Kingsford Smith School (K-10) - gifted in Y6-7, LSUA x 2, LSC
Latham PS - LSUA x 2? (but can't find anything on their website)
Lyneham PS - gifted
Macgregor PS - pretty sure they have a unit but not on their website
