SHE Speaks Survey: lets find out what is important to young women in Canberra

We would like to invite women aged 15-30 to participate in the YWCA SHE
Speaks Survey<http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DKVDBBY>.

SHE Speaks is a YWCA Australia annual survey for girls and young women
aged 15-30, which has been developed to hear the thoughts and ideas on
issues that affect young women.

There have been many indicators that suggest that young women in
Australia do not reach their full potential. We want to better
understand why this is the case and most importantly, what you think can
be done to assist young women to achieve their aspirations.

This survey is being conducted by South Australian Community Health
Research Unit at Flinders University on behalf of YWCA Australia. YWCA
Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that provides advocacy,
support, empowerment and leadership opportunities for young women under
30 through services, programs and campaigns. It is also the national
association of YWCAs in Australia. YWCA of Canberra is supporting this
survey in the ACT.
Participating in the survey will assist in improving services, programs
and opportunities for young women locally and nationally. It will also
be a significant reference point for the community on the priorities,
aspirations and needs of young women and girls in Australia.
The SHE Speaks Survey is open to young women ages 15-30. The Survey can
be accessed online at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DKVDBBY.

Paper copies can be provided upon request.

An information sheet about the survey has been attached provided by
Flinders University.

All participation is confidential, and responses will remain anonymous.
It will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

The survey was launched on the International Day of the Girl, 11 October
2012, and will be open for two months. The outcomes of the project will
be written in a report for YWCA Australia, which will be publicly
released on International Women's Day in 2013.

If you have any further questions about the survey please contact YWCA
of Canberra at
canberra@ywca-canberra.org.au<mailto:canberra@ywca-canberra.org.au> or
