*Room To Move* Inclusive Community Dance & Movement


> Monthly inclusive (open to adults living with and without disability)

> community dance and movement theatre sessions with a focus on
> improvisational movement led by a variety of skilled and experienced
> dancers and movement artists.

> Workshops aim to create a positive learning environment rich with the
> creative possibilities each valued participant brings with them.
> Experience the freedom and joy of improvisation in a welcoming and
> supportive environment.

> No previous dance/ movement experience required. All skill levels
welcome.
> Come to as many or as few sessions as you wish.

> This workshop will take participants on a cosmic journey through
> rhythms of the self and the spaces that surround. Participants will be

> taken on an improvisational movement adventure of joyful dance and
> play, connecting with others to create something beautiful.

> *About Mica Lynnah*
>
> Mica Lynnah (AKA Mica Cochrane) is a creative arts facilitator,
> running programmes in both the visual and performing arts. Her work is

> focussed on community engagement and social inclusion.

> Mica has had a lifelong interest in the arts, and began her career at
> an early age in the Candelo Arts Society. Following on from a
> background in drama and visual art, she turned her focus to dance in
> 2006, and began teaching at Canberra Dance Theatre in 2009. Her genre
> of dance is essentially creative movement, with strong influence from
> various forms of world dance. She has trained in many styles of dance
> and movement locally and internationally, including in the USA and
> South East Asia. She frequently performs at community events, private
functions and fundraisers.

> Mica became drawn into the world of inclusive dance in 2008, when she
> joined a class facilitated by Morgan Jai Morincome and Min Mae. For
