Hands On Studio for adult artists with complex disabilities has vacancies

Hands On Studio for adult artists with complex disabilities, housed in
the M16 Artspace has the following vacancies for classes:

1. Monday: 2 vacancies1pm- 4pm $22per class, invoiced termly
These art classes concentrate mainly on painting and drawing. Students
are encouraged to develop and extend their range of pictorial
motifs/subjects. Students are given the opportunity and encouraged to
improve their knowledge and application of specific painting and drawing
techniques and materials. This is an advanced class.

2. Tuesday morning : 1 vacancy 9.30 - 12 pm $20 per class invoiced
termly
This art class is involved in developing skills and exploring new
techniques in painting, drawing, printmaking, and soft sculpture.
Students work in both 2d and 3d forms, working with paper-mache, fabrics
and other recycled materials, to build their confidence in their visual
voice. This class works towards exhibitions and the program is adjusted
to suit needs of each particular student. Suitable for all abilities.

3. Wednesday morning: 3 vacancies 9.30am- 12pm $20 per class
invoiced termly
This art class the the wonderful world of sculpture is explored through
the mediums or clay, dough, paper mache, plaster. This is a very
tactile class where students are encouraged to experiment with new ideas
in a creative environment and experience working on both individual and
collective projects. Suitable for Artists with disability who are also
vision impaired.

4. Wednesday afternoon: 1 vacancy,1pm- 3pm $18/class invoiced
termly
A safe inclusive environment for all, Wednesday afternoon class embraces
individuality and freedom of expression. Open to all mediums, exploring
painting, drawing collage relief and assemblage sculpture, allowing the
artists the autonomy to develop their own skills and recognise their
many abilities. Within this self-directed approach to art making,
artistic development is determined by the individuals own willingness to
learn. Suitable for all abilities.

5. Thursday morning: 1 vacancy, 9.30am-12pm $20
This class specialises mixed media art class, with an emphasis on self-
expression and experimentation. To facilitate creativity and learning we
use a wide range of mediums: painting, drawing, printmaking collage,
textiles and paper mache. Due to the broad scope of mixed media each
student has the opportunity to pursue their own interests and build on
their strengths. Thursday Morning class is a warm and welcoming
environment, were students can extend their art practice while
socialising and developing skills with like-minded individuals.
