TrailRider now in the ACT - all-terrain wheelchair, perfect for wilderness areas

Please feel free to forward this to your members and networks in the ACT:

We were contacted yesterday by David Stratton who has been working to get
TrailRiders in Australia and we are excited to let people know that there is
now a TrailRider at Tidbinbilla Visitor Centre.

The TrailRider is an all-terrain wheelchair (pictures attached) that will
allow visitors with physical and mobility issues to access the great
outdoors and explore some of the ACT's gorgeous wilderness and parks. Check
out www.tidbinbilla.com.au for more details on this fantastic initiative -
it's FREE to use!

. There is a show and tell on 17 October at Tidbinbilla Visitor Centre at
11am. The best contact there is Mel (Melissa.Howard@act.gov.au) . The best
way to find out all about the chair is through David's blog at
http://trailridertales.blogspot.com.au/ and from there the best starting
point is the "Wild Places" video (red link on the front page) . This post
http://trailridertales.blogspot.com.au/2013/08/kilimanjaro-x-2-everest-base-
camp-x-2.html
talks about the exciting places that have been visited . The
Facebook page can be viewed at https://www.facebook.com/TrailRiderTales
