Messengers program

The Messengers Program is a Youth program managed by Tuggeranong Arts
Centre and funded by the ACT Government's Office for Children, Youth and
Family Support. Now in its fourteenth year of operation, The Messengers
Program uses an arts-based approach to foster resilience in young
people. Young people who take part in the program are encouraged to
understand, through the medium of arts activities, their and others'
feelings and behaviour while exploring different ways to cope. It is
their insights into, and views of, the world they experience that form
the material of dramatic and other art works delivering the messages of
resilience back to their school, peer and home communities.
