The ACT Mental Health Consumer Network is currently offering FREE
Self-Advocacy Training.
The self-advocacy course is about the individual developing their
personal skills so that their consumer voice is heard, listened to, and
acted upon. The course supports individuals to identify how effective
they can be as a self-advocate and be a voice for other consumers.
Participants who complete the Self-Advocacy course can register for the
Consumer Representation Course and upon completion they can become a
Consumer Representative.
The Self Advocacy Course covers;
1. Introduction
2. The Practice of Self Esteem & Self Confidence 3. The Practice of Self
Expression 4. The Practice of Self Reliance and Self Determination 5.
Self-Development
When: April 3 and 10
Time: 9am - 3pm
Where: The ACT Mental Health Consumer Network Office, Level 2, Room 11,
Griffin Centre, 20 Genge Street, Canberra City.
