Australian Buddhism Classes
Pathways for spiritual and personal growth A course for the heart and mind, presented by Venerable Tenpa Bejanke

How can Buddhist ideas help us to develop more skilful and satisfying ways of living our lives? In this series of discussions and meditations, Tenpa will explore ways of growing our mindfulness and compassion by applying the transformative slogans of the Tibetan practice known as Lojong.

Who: Venerable Tenpa Bejanke Duim is an Australian-born Buddhist nun trained in the Tibetan tradition. She is an experienced small-group teacher, with a background in counselling and works in the field of pastoral care. Tenpa is also currently studying for a Bachelor of Theology with the University of Newcastle

Where: SHOUT rooms, Pearce Community Centre, Collett Place, Pearce

When: Eight two-hour sessions, 9:30am-11:30am Friday 22 August 2014 and continuing weekly until 10 October 2014

Cost: $30 for the entire course; pay at the first session; recommended reading for the course is Norman Fischer's Training in Compassion: Zen Teachings on the Practice of Lojong (Shambhala Publications, 2013).
