Developing and Implementing Programs Workshop @ Bankstown, NSW & Canberra, ACT

Developing programs that make a difference...

Setting up a program?
Running a Service?
Not sure where to start?
Or are you already running one but want to make it even better?

Vaughan Bowie will be presenting a workshop on Wednesday 24th September on Developing and Implementing Programs.

This workshop will focus on the skills you need to establish, develop and implement programs and services for those you serve, your organisation and/or funding body. First we look specifically at how you plan and establish programs then at the management, delivery and evaluation of such programs and services. The workshop will provide a basic framework to help you develop a range of programs that can be adapted to a variety of contexts. These could include early childhood activities, recreational programs, street outreach work, social and life skills classes, job search skills, group work and many others.

Upon completion of this workshop you will be able to:
• Plan and establish a service, program or project within your organisation.
• Identify the objectives, expected outcomes, administrative, financial, monitoring, evaluation and other elements of the programs or service.
• Prepare documentation for a variety of program management purposes.
• Demonstrate basic skills in program management and evaluation.

The training will involve some small group work activities and interactive activities and allow you to work on a program suitable for your own service or to gain ideas to improve a current one. As part of the workshop you will also be given a complimentary programming planning manual.
