MoneySmart Week 2013 - invitation to all service providers who are 50 and
over or work with this age group
September 1-7 is Australia's 2nd annual MoneySmart Week. Just like having
annual health check ups, MoneySmart Week aims to raise awareness on doing
regular money health checks to ensure that our finances are in a fit state
and if not, where to go for help. This year Care Inc. is facilitating a
free 'Ask An Expert' session for people 50 and over. The panel will
consist of experts from government and non government agencies including:
* National Information Centre on Retirement Investments Inc (NICRI)
* Centrelink's Financial Investment Service (FIS)
* Office of Regulatory Services (ORS)
* Council on the Ageing ACT (COTA)
* Australian Federal Police (Scams and Do Not Knock Campaign) Morning tea
will be provided and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions
directly to the services participating. We would love to see you there and
if you have a client, friend, family member or colleague that may benefit
from attending this event - please forward them the link.
We also encourage service providers who work with clients in this age group
to come along. There will be a lot of information and resources available
that may benefit your client group.
