Tuggeranong residents will have the opportunity to view a now prominent
artwork that has certainly put Canberra on the map around the globe:
Skywhale, created by Canberra artist Patricia Piccinini for the
Centenary of Canberra, will grace the Town Park on the foreshores of
Lake Tuggeranong in the early morning hours of Saturday November 16.
Early morning entertainment and healthy activity options will be on
offer from 6:30am. Join us to welcome Skywhale on her first visit in our
beautiful valley. Early birds will be invited to a free breakfast.
This event marks the beginning of a few weeks of celebrations and
activity, followed by the Tuggeranong festival taking place a week later
and the re-opening celebrations at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre on
November 30, 2013.
