Workshop 1: Learning and the Brain – Executive Functions: Theory, assessment and practical interventions Workshop 2: Autism Spectrum Disorder and the DSM-5: Theory, assessment and practical interventions Dr Jack A. Naglieri, PhD, is a Research Professor at the University of Virginia and Senior Research Scientist at the Devereux Centre for Resilient Children. The workshops are applicable for teachers, special educators, psychologists, speech therapists and allied health professionals. Read more and register   Pictured Feelings Instrument: Research Paper Beth A. Stone is a registered psychologist, art therapist, gestalt therapist, artist and author. Beth works in a private practice and is conducting post-graduate research with the University of New South Wales in association with St Vincent’s Hospital. As a result of her practice and research, Beth authored the Pictured Feelings Instrument, a psychotherapy tool for assessment of feelings through non-verbal pictures, published by ACER. Visit the Australian Psychological Society website for more information   Australian Psychological Society Conference ACER was proud to be an exhibitor at the recent Australian Psychological Society Conference in Cairns.This conference affords us an excellent opportunity to meet up with our valued customers from around the country. With the theme 'Psychology for a healthy nation', the conference addressed a wide range of support areas. ACER was able to offer materials to participants ranging from the highly sought-after DSM-5 to Coping Scales for Adolescents, Adults and Early Years and a suite of autism resources. As there are plans to offer a revision of the Coping Scale for Adults in 2014, invitations were issued for people to participate in trialling.
