invitation Vision Australia Coffee Club

Vision Australia is excited to announce a new coffee club.  It will be an excellent opportunity for people in similar circumstances to get together for a friendly chat over a cuppa.

The coffee club:

Starting: Wednesday 28 September and run fortnightly

Time: 2 o’ clock

Location: Koko Black, Bunda Street Canberra

Cost: Whatever you purchase at the coffee shop

The initial venue will be Koko Black, which is located on the outside of the Canberra Centre on Bunda Street (just next to the stairs that go up to the Dendy’s Cinema). If you are unsure of the café location, you are welcome to meet me at the Vision Australia office at 1:30pm.

Koko Black is a moderately priced European style café specialising in fine chocolate and coffee, it’s approximately $4 for a coffee or $6 for a delicious speciality hot chocolate. The café is well laid out and is very accessible with wide aisles and accessible seating, indoors and covered outdoors. We have arranged for the menu to be available in both large print and Braille.

We hope that the group will decide on its own name and may even choose to meet at many of the other exciting coffee shops Canberra has to offer.

Over time we hope the group might develop some suggestions for other possible outings.  We are lucky in Canberra to have many exciting exhibitions and cultural events.

If you have any further questions regarding the group please don’t hesitate to contact me on 6132 5800.

Look forward to seeing you there,

Steven
