An update on the BCS Counselling Service.
Belconnen Community Service provides individual and family based counselling for children, young people, families and individuals using a creative and eclectic approach. Therapies are tailored to meet individual circumstances and may include arts-based and expressive activities.
Children may benefit from play therapy. Adults and young people may benefit from approaches based on cognitive behavioural strategies and mindfulness. Biographical and narrative work is available for adults.
At present, the Counselling Service is staffed by me, Laura Summerfield.
I am a registered Psychologist with a background in education and the arts.
I have a Medicare Provider number and Medicare rebates are available for eligible participants.
At present, fees are charged.
Bulk billing will be available soon.
Counselling is available Monday to Friday during business hours, at 26 Chandler Street, Belconnen.
