What do human rights look like?

Have you ever wondered what human rights in Austalia look like today?

Well why not use your camera to capture those things that remind you of the importance of living in a fair and equal society.

And then enter them in the Commission's 2012 human rights photo competition.

There's an under-18 category and a category for those 18 and over.

Prizes for the winner of each category will be Canon EOS-1100D Digital SLR Camera Single Kits and will be presented at our Human Rights Awards Ceremony which will be held in December 2012 in Sydney.

A selection of the best photos will be showcased on the Commission's website and Flickr page – go there now to see some of the sensational photos from the 2011 competition!

For details on the competition guidelines and how to submit your photo, go to www.humanrights.gov.au/PhotoCompetition2012/

  • Media contact: Louise McDermott (02) 9284 9851 or 0419 258 597

Up to the minute information on human rights is now available on twitter at twitter.com/AusHumanRights.
