You are cordially invited to attend an Information session on
DIGITAL STORYTELLING
AT | Disability Information and Support Hub (DISH) |
WHERE | 62 Oatley Court, Belconnen |
WHEN | Monday 4th June |
FROM | 6 – 7.30pm |
WHAT IS IT? | Digital Storytelling is an opportunity for people with a disability to capture their stories on a short 3-5 minute DVD. They’ll be supported to reflect on their skills, characteristics, interests and dreams; and this information is then presented in a unique digital format. |
WHY? | An audio-visual ‘snapshot’ of a person can assist with the goal of “telling my story once”. It can also be used as an introductory tool for prospective employers; involvement in activities; connecting with community or just to keep as a memento. |
WHO FOR? | Workshops will commence in June for people with a disability who are leaving school. If there’s sufficient interest additional workshops for other folk with a disability will be organised in the coming months. |
WORKSHOP FACILITATOR | Jennifer Thompson from Engaging Solutions. |
RSVP | Please contact Maureen Howe on 6205 9365 or maureen.howe@act.gov.au if you’d like to come along to the Information Session. |
