Supporting Self Advocacy Training for Community & Support Workers

Advocacy for Inclusion is now taking names for our FREE "Supporting Self
Advocacy" workshop.
Supported by the ACT Government under the ACT Health Promotion Grants
Program

Who: Community and support workers working with people with
disabilities living in supported accommodation.

In this course you will learn about:
* Advocacy and self advocacy
* Human rights for people with disabilities
* Balancing duty of care, dignity of risk and supporting self
advocacy
* Strategies to assist people practice self advocacy skills
* Healthy eating & exercise overview
* Local resources & information
