What is Medicare Local?
Medicare Local is an Australian Federal Government initiative that will take policy and funding responsibility of primary health care service delivery. The Federal government is cutting bureaucracy in half by taking these responsibilities away from the states and has the objective of delivering effective primary care to all Australians.
WWDACT Consultation Forum
WWDACT is hosting a forum that will provide a brief description of what the Medicare Local in the ACT is about. It will also give participants the opportunity to share their opinions, experiences and advice on the continual implementation and refining of the Medicare Local in the ACT.
ACT Health is looking to receive feedback about Medicare Local from consumers, and hopes to hear about particular issues that are faced by women with disabilities. WWDACT is keen for members to be active participants in this, as women with disabilities are the most knowledgeable people when it comes to what works for them.
Be involved. Let ACT Health be informed about women with disabilities by women with disabilities.
If you have difficulties with transport, contact WWDACT. We may be able to assist you.
