MONEY MATTERS INFORMATION WORKSHOPS
Care Financial Counselling Service is running a series of workshops on money
management related issues. These workshops are for anyone on a low to
moderate income wishing to gain practical, everyday money management skills.
The first Money Matters information workshop is titled 'Budgeting for
Celebrations' and will be held on 23 July 2012 (see below).
Budgeting for Celebrations Workshop - Care Financial Counselling Service
Celebrations including birthdays or significant cultural or religious
festivities are an important part of family life but can be expensive and
this is particularly true for those on a low income. This workshop is an
opportunity for participants to discuss cost effective ideas and strategies
for planning and budgeting for celebrations in the hope to reduce stress for
individuals and families.

CARE FINANCIAL COUNSELLING SERVICE NOW AVAILABLE FOR APPOINTMENTS AT CENTRAL
ACCESS POINT FROM 9AM - 5PM ON MONDAYS Care financial Counselling Service
and the Consumer Law Centre is a free not for profit service that provides
information, support and financial counselling in relation to credit and
debt issues for people on low to moderate incomes. We are pleased to
announce that Care now provides an outreach service at the Central Access
Point at Housing ACT in Belconnen on Mondays.
This Belconnen outreach service at Central Access Point is free and
confidential and is open to Housing and non Housing clients. People
wishing to access this service need to contact Care Financial Counselling
Service direct on 6257 1788 to arrange an appointment.
