have an interest in working with AAACT in developing quality activities
for people with ASD and their families.
FOR PRESCHOOLERS:
Northside Yabbies Aquatots - Fun-based water activities led by
qualified, disability friendly instructors for pre-school aged children
and their carer. Held in a warm water environment this programme is
designed to develop physical, psycho-social, cognitive and recreational
benefits. Venue: Aquatots Swimming Pool, Forde | Cost: $160 per term (10

Southside Youngs Swim School - Fun-based water activities led by

FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN & TEENS:
CIT Gym Skills and Fitness for Kids - Run by CIT fitness teacher and
instructors, and senior students, this programme is developed for
primary aged children with ASD to help develop physical and social
skills through group-based gym skill and fitness activities. Venue:

Canberra Aikido - For primary and teens. This traditional oriental
non-confrontational martial art is recognized for improving focus,
agility, coordination and confidence. Your child will develop new skill
in a small class, and safe and fun environment, led by trained

Swimming

TEENS, ADULTS & CARERS:
3 Hour Nurture and Relaxation Workshop - For Teens and adults with ASD,
and carers. This programme led by reknowned author and instructor,
Lynnette Dickinson, will provide participants with foundational skills
for relaxation, balance and flexibility. It will include principles and
techniques including; stretching, mindfulness, relaxation, massage and
yoga. Afternoon teas will be provided. Venue: Bendigo Room. Autism
