Carers Australia is seeking a full time Program Coordinator for a
national program that assists young carers. We are funded by the
Department of Families, Housing, Community services and Indigenous
Affairs (FaHCSIA) to deliver a program that assists and supports young
carers across Australia. The program is coordinated nationally by
Carers Australia and delivered by each of the State and Territory Carer
Associations. We are seeking a dynamic, committed coordinator for the
program with the following duties:
* Provide leadership to Carers Associations with a view to
consistent delivery of the Young Carers program Australia-wide
* Responsible for the coordination of the Australian National
Young Carers Advisory Team (ANYCAT) and engage with young carers through
ANYCAT and the Young Carer Ambassador program to identify key issues for
young carers.
* Engage with young carers using social media.
* Coordination of content on the young carers website
* Contribute to communication strategies for young carers.
* Collate and prepare regular reports to the funding body within
timeframes set out in the funding agreement, and ad hoc reports as
required.
* Analysis of program monitoring data to identify trends and
potential opportunities and issues, with a particular focus on policy
impacts.
Essential job specific skills and qualities
* Ability to coordinate program delivery and ability to show
initiative, judgement and flexibility.
* Familiarity with the uses of social media
* Ability to work collaboratively with others on program
delivery.
* High level communication skills
Full time position
Salary: $55,000 - 60,000 plus superannuation depending on qualifications
