Active Mums allows for mothers to be accompanied by their children. The aim
of this program is to teach mums some very simple ways to maintain their
fitness and to provide a safe and fun environment for mums and their
children to bond through music and physical activity. The structure of the
class is sensitive to the needs of nursing mothers who may need to take time
out to feed or otherwise interact with their children. The Sports Hall at
Belconnen Community Centre is an enclosed, safe environment. Soft balls and
tumbling equipment will be available for toddlers to play with in the space.
Mothers are responsible for the safety of their accompanying children at all
times.
