Hi All,
Please find attached the Flyer for our Assistive Technology Workshop with Dr Graeme Smith and Sean Fitzgerald TOMORROW!
There is still a chance to register for the workshop.
If you wish to attend please call 6282 4411 and ask to speak to myself (Amanda) and I will book you in.
HOW TO ACCESS A COMPUTER – if you have a disability
There are many alternatives to the standard keyboard and mouse. Big keyboards, little keyboards, coloured keyboards, picture keyboards, on-screen keyboards, trackballs, joysticks, systems based on mouth or head movement, or eye gaze, and switch-based systems. The first part of this seminar will look at these options and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses.
The second part of the seminar will focus on using your voice to control a computer. This will be presented by Sean Fitzgerald, who uses speech recognition extensively to maximise his independence and productivity through a computer.
Regards
