Come and join the FBIC Walkathon

Friends of Brain Injured Children www.fbic.org.au/ are holding their
first ever WALKATHON to raise money for therapies to assist children
with brain injuries. Help raise money for this important cause by
walking, forwarding on this information or by sponsoring a walker or
team. The FBIC walkathon is part of a nation wide event called RIVERWALK
that was initiated by the QLD organisation The Developing Foundation.
The walkathons now take place in Cairns, Brisbane, Ballina and now for
the first time, Canberra. The walk will take place on Saturday the 17th
of November at Regatta point, Commonwealth Park from 10am. It will be a
gentle 5km loop walk towards Aspen Island and back to Regatta point. You
can register for the walk on the day from 10am and the walk will
officially begin at 10.30am. There will be refreshments, entertainment
and a BBQ for hungry walkers. To register for the event go to
http://www.developingfoundation.com.au/event/event/detail/event/22049 If
you would like to walk and raise money for FBIC by seeking sponsorship
please contact Jim at jimsharrock@internode.on.net or on 0409660745

It only costs $7 adult, $3 child/concession or $20 family. You must be
registered to seek sponsorship for your walk. The registration money
helps FBIC cover walkathon costs and will help FBIC put on other events
in the future. TELL YOUR FRIENDS, WORK COLLEAGUES, SCHOOL MATES, ETC and
get them to sponsor and/or register for the event. For more information
