Festival of Ability,Queanbeyan NSW

Hello to all,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend the Festival of
Ability, Queanbeyan's celebration of International Day of People with
Disability.

"This year is the 20th anniversary of International Day of People with
Disability (IDPwD), a United Nations sanctioned day that aims to promote
an understanding of people with disability and encourage support for
their dignity, rights and well-being. The day seeks to increase
awareness of the benefits of the integration of people with disability
in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.

IDPwD brings together individuals, businesses, community organisations,
and governments from every corner of the world to celebrate and
acknowledge the contributions, skills and achievements of people with
disability".

On Friday the 30th November the Queanbeyan community will be celebrating
IDPwD by holding the 'Festival of Ability' in Queanbeyan Park, Lowe St
from 4pm-7pm. The festival is supported by the Queanbeyan Disability
Forum and promises to be an afternoon of music & fun for all; featuring
world renowned entertainers; Rudely Interrupted and the X Factors;
Declan Sykes, including various local musicians and artists: The
Dreamlanders; Kulture Break , Adam Conroy & Geoff Conn and The Friends
of Jimmy choir and African Drumming .

Come along and enjoy food, jumping castles and a relaxing massage
whilst you listen to entertainment not to be missed.
