Call to expand NDIS trial beyond ACT borders

I have to admit I am NOT impressed by this!!! we have over 40000 people in the ACT with disabilities. the NDIS will only support 5000 of those people by the end of the trial.... and yet NSW want us to share??!!! As far as I'm aware they have their own trial taking place (in the Hunter Valley?). so not impressed!!!

The New South Wales Government is calling for an expansion of the ACT's trial site for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

In 2012 the ACT agreed to be one of several launch sites for the NDIS and 2,500 Canberrans with a disability will start to receive support in 2014 to 2015.

During a visit to Queanbeyan, NSW Disability Services Minister Andrew Constance has asked for a re-think of the boundaries, saying residents who travel interstate to access Canberra services should be included in the trial.
