STRATEGIES FOR MANAGING CHRONIC PAIN - A SEMINAR FOR FAMILY CARERS This
presentation is designed to empower and equip carers to learn more about
chronic pain management, either for themselves or the person they are caring
for.

Topics covered will include:

* how to recognize the patterns of pain including emotional pain
* tips for navigating the health care system
* Information about medication as well as clarification of some medical
terms that can be confusing.
Please come with questions, and your invaluable experiences

Facilitator: Moira McLaughlin is a registered nurse with 32 years
professional experience. Her main area of interest is Palliative care.
Moira currently works fulltime as a teacher in the Diploma of Nursing
(Enrolled),Aged Care and HACC and Disability at Canberra Institute of
Technology.
