TRACY BOWDEN, PRESENTER: The Government's much-heralded National Disability Insurance Scheme will be a key plank of the ALP's campaign pitch at the next election, promising more flexibility and financial support for the disabled and their carers at a cost of billions of dollars.
NDIS, or disability care, as the Government has rebranded it, has been widely welcomed in a rapidly growing sector, but there are warnings that the system is already struggling to provide the best quality care for the disabled, and this could get worse.
