The Arthritis Foundation of the ACT Inc (Arthritis ACT) aims at improving
the quality of life of people in the ACT with arthritis, osteoporosis and
other musculoskeletal conditions. It is affiliated with the Arthritis
Foundation of Australia, Osteoporosis Australia and with our affiliates in
all other States and Territories.
About the Opportunity
Arthritis & Osteoporosis ACT has a unique opportunity for a Health Promotion
Coordinator to join its small but dedicated team based in Holder ACT.
The successful applicant will work full time - 38 hours per week.
In this pivotal role you will be responsible for planning, implementing and
evaluating health promotion and community education programs across the
Australian Capital Territory through regular and ongoing consultation and
collaboration with the community.
Key Selection Criteria:
Essential
* Experience in education, training and/or health related area.
* Ability to develop training materials, surveys and evaluations;
* Ability to write and present reports;
* Experience in giving presentations to members of the community and
health professionals;
* Ability to build relationships with health professionals and
government and non-government organisations;
* Capacity to work with and train volunteers to deliver health
promotion programs.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
Desirable
* Tertiary Qualification in either Education or a Health related
area
* First Aid Qualification or willing to obtain
* Own transport required to attend various locations
* Knowledge of the health/medical industry
