FINDING BALANCE - A SHORT COURSE FOR FAMILY CARERS
Carers get very used to putting others ahead of themselves. They often
look after others and lose sight of their own needs and then wonder why
they have so little energy, have trouble remembering things and why
their life seems so lacking in pleasure and joy.
This CIT SKILLS FOR CARERS course will be an enjoyable opportunity for
family carers to come together and consider:
* Why it is so important to acknowledge their own needs and
respond by nurturing themselves in encouraging and healthy ways
* The key connection between cherishing themselves and having
healthy relationships, better health and a happier self.
* Finding a balance between caring for themselves and others
without feeling guilty or overwhelmed.
