The Messengers Program 2013

The Messengers Program is a FREE Youth Arts Program (13 -18 years )
managed by Tuggeranong Arts Centre and funded by the ACT Government's
Office for Children, Youth and Family Support. Now in its 13th year of
operation, the program uses an arts-based approach to foster resilience
in young people. Young people who take part in the program are
encouraged to understand, through the medium of arts activities, their
and others' feelings and behaviour while exploring different ways to
cope. It is their insights into, and views of, the world they experience
that form the material of dramatic and other art works delivering the
messages of resilience back to their school, peer and home communities.
Messengers runs for eight weeks every school term. All tutors are
professional practicing artists.

Enrolment:

To enrol students in any of our FREE programs please fill in our
standard enrolment form found in the Tuggeranong website. Students need
to be referred by a support agency (school counsellor, youth worker etc)
