The purpose of this survey conducted by Autism Asperger ACT (AAACT) is to seek a sound understanding around the issues/barriers faced by people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) leaving school and seeking post school options. Post school options include (but are not limited to) employment, training, education and/or supported day programs.
AAACT recognises the great need to ensure that young people with a disability (including those with ASD) who are leaving school have the same opportunities as young people who do not have a disability. We at AAACT are committed to securing better options for young people with ASD (and other disabilities). AAACT will use the information obtained through this survey to engage with local and federal governments, Disability Employment Service and Job Service Australia providers, and service providers providing day programs, employers (both potential and current) and other relevant stakeholders.
All information provided in this survey will be de-identified; the
survey does not ask for names or contact details to be provided. Results
of the survey will be published on the AAACT website once approved by
the Governance Committee.
