Seekng ex[pression of Interest - Gungahlin Network

Living in Networked Communities
LINC

CatholicCare is seeking expressions of interest from individuals wishing to
take part in the LINC Gungahlin Network

LINC is a program designed to provide the opportunity for adults with an
intellectual disability to live independently within a supportive network in
the Gungahlin community.
CatholicCare will hold the leases for 9 properties which make up the LINC
Gungahlin Network.

The LINC program is designed to support people with intellectual
disabilities who have a range of capacities and
* wish to live independently in their own home,
* wish to live in a non-segregated setting,
* want to live alone or with a person of their choosing,
* wish to create and maintain their own home,
* are interested in forming friendships,
* are interested in engaging with their local community.

The LINC program does not provide any direct support hours to individuals
within the network. The support LINC provides is in the form of a Community
Development Worker who assists in developing networks within the local
community and to help facilitate relationships between the LINC members.
Individuals who wish to live as part of LINC need to ensure they have
existing support arrangements prior to applying.

You could be eligible for the LINC program if you;
* Are an adult with an intellectual disability, sensory, physical,
neurological or dual disability, acquired brain injury or a combination of
these.
* Have the appropriate support arrangements, both formal and
informal, to sustain living independently,
* Have the financial ability to live independently.

If you are interested in hearing more about the LINC program or would like
to register an expression of interest please contact the LINC Community
Development Workers, Cindy Campbell or Karen McIntosh, on 6163 7663 or 0409
743 498.

Closing date for expression interests is 7th June 2013.
