Career Information Seminars for ACT women on low incomes

Working from home has become an exciting way to earn a living for many
women in Australia while also charting a new course for their future and
financial independence through business ownership.

Women are applying skills and experiences with marketable products and
services to make a living from business ideas including running a
business entirely online; offering personal and group care and
health-related products; and, using the internet or establishing
networks for sales and distribution.

Some businesses are easier to get off the ground and some require
rigorous compliance issues. All businesses need to be planned with
women determining whether it is the right decision and right time to
start up a business from home.

Lighthouse Business Innovation Centre and the Women's Information and
Referral Centre have joined together to help entrepreneurial women who
are currently on low incomes in the ACT plan for and develop their ideas
for home-based businesses.

Join us for a free information seminar and learn more about:

* How to plan, start and grow your business

* Business and marketing basics and resources

* Support for women on low incomes through ACT Return to Work
Grants and Brilliant Idea Program including no-interest microcredit
loans and mentorship.

Three sessions are being offered with a focus on some of the different
types of businesses that can be operated from home. Each of the seminars
include presentations by experienced business owners.
