Introduction to Disability and Sexuality
This 3-day course is designed to allow participants to support and
engage people with disabilities in their daily lives and provides
positive strategies for appropriate behaviours.
The course will equip participants with skills in communicating
comfortably and effectively to people with a disability; and assist
participants in the preparation & provision of appropriate information
about sexual and reproductive health to address the needs of clients.
Topics covered include -
* Sexual development
* Sexually Transmissible Infections (STIs)
* Contraception
* Pregnancy & birth
* Safer sex.
* Legal ethical issues that may arise when supporting people
with a disability around sexuality & sexual health issues
* Sexuality and Relationships Education for people with a
disability
This course will run on the 24th, 25th and 26th September. Cost is $295
