Practical Design Fund Reports
Earlier this year JFA Purple Orange undertook two projects as part of the Commonwealth Government’s Practical Design Fund in preparation for the National Disability Insurance Scheme, DisabilityCare Australia.

eMarket
The eMarket project involved a co-design approach to find out whether a Trip Advisor/eBay type website (which we called an eMarket) would be helpful to people and agencies using the NDIS.
The overwhelming view from the 21 consultations held around Australia was that an eMarket would be helpful. Our report includes a list of key features people would want from an eMarket, plus our recommendations.
Values-Based Leadership Development
The Values-Based Leadership Development project involved a series of two-day workshops for service agency staff in the five NDIS launch sites. The workshops were designed to help participants identify and examine the values which drive work at their agencies, particularly in terms of the types of decisions and actions that might genuinely advance a person’s life chances.
Upon completion of the workshop all participants received a toolkit of questions to help initiate a conversation at their agency about values and actions. Our report includes this questions toolkit together with recommendations made to DisabilityCare Australia.
