University of Canberra
The Student-Led Nutrition and Dietetics clinic at the University of Canberra has a focus on chronic medical conditions, in particular, diabetes, weight management, and heart disease. We also see clients with bowel symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome or food intolerances, as well as diagnosed coeliac, inflammatory bowel disease, or diverticular disease.
Anyone can benefit from a Dietetic consult, particularly if they have a medical condition that impacts on nutrition or ability to prepare or consume foods, such as multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, cancer (particularly on chemo/radiotherapy), parkinsons, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pregnancy, chronic fatigue syndrome, mental health, etc..
All appointments are $30, or $20 for concession (student, pensioner, seniors).
We also offer body composition analysis for $20 per session, where clients get a research quality breakdown of body components (fat, muscle, minerals, fluid), in each body compartment (each arm, leg, and trunk). This can determine bone mineral density, level of oedema also, and visceral fat also.
