ACT Mental Health Consumer Network is currently seeking suitable candidates for the following two positions:
1. Program Administrator
Working in a small team the Program Administrator manages the administrative requirements of the organisation's programs under general direction. Duties include providing efficient administrative support to the Network's program manager and program coordinator; particularly supporting the Consumer Representatives Program. This includes collating and accurately managing information and meeting papers; managing aspects of the membership database including managing program events, participation and volunteer eligibility; and undertaking basic research tasks as required.
Salary at ACT Community Sector Multiple Enterprise Agreement (MEA) Level 3/4 depending on skills and experience, pro rata plus superannuation. 15-20 hours per week negotiable, worked over 4-5 days per week including Fridays, contracted to 30 June 2014 with the possibility of extension. Generous salary packaging available.
2. NDIS Education Project Officer
The role of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Education Project Officer is to develop, document and co-facilitate a short education module in collaboration with mental health consumers and other key stakeholders. The project will include undertaking high level research and mapping tasks related to NDIS and Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work competencies. Candidates must possess Cert. IV in Training & Assessment.
Salary at MEA Level 5/6 depending on skills and experience, pro rata plus superannuation. 20 hours per week negotiable, contracted to 30 June 2014. Generous salary packaging available.
For both positions - strong communication skills, ability to work with people with diverse experience, capacity to manage competing tasks, and commitment to consumer participation principles are essential. Experience working in a consumer or advocacy organisation highly desirable. Individuals with lived experience of mental illness are encouraged to apply.
