Nutrition workshop

ACT Red Cross Community Nutrition Educators will be holding a 'Set for Life'
Nutrition Advisor Training workshop on Wednesday the 2nd April, 2014.

This is a great opportunity for ACT community organisation staff to attend a
free training workshop which covers nutrition education basics and the
current Australian Dietary Guidelines; food budgeting and healthy meal tips;
how to read food product labels; as well as kitchen hygiene and food safety.

Delivered with support from ACT Health Community Care Dietitians, Red Cross
staff will present an interactive slideshow covering the above topics and
more, with group discussion and questions encouraged.

This program aims to increase the nutrition knowledge of community
organisation workers so that you may then pass this knowledge on to clients
opportunistically or through programs such as cooking groups.

Ongoing support will be provided to all those who attend the workshop by way
of a bimonthly newsletter and access to nutrition resources.

WHEN: 02/04/2014, from 10am - 1pm, with a light lunch provided.

WHERE: Red Cross House; Solferino Room, 3 Dann Close, Garran.

RSVP: Please let us know as soon as possible if you are interested in
attending this workshop, as places are limited.
