2015 ACT NDIS Readiness Toolkit Program

 

The ACT NDIS Readiness Toolkit, developed by the National Disability Service (NDS)  is available to any organisation free of charge by registering at www.readiness.nds.org.au

 

To assist organisations to complete this Toolkit, up to three days of consulting support may be available with:

·       understanding the structure and intent of the NDIS Readiness Toolkit;

·       completing the toolkit in a process that engages the relevant people in the organization;

·       entering the relevant required data, including the financial data, onto the system; and

·       commencing gap-analysis and implementation planning.

 

Eligible organisations may be:

·       existing providers of disability services or those wishing to move into, or expand their provision of, services to people with disability in the ACT; or

·       individuals or small new businesses looking to establish as NDIS service providers in the ACT.

 

Each Expression of Interest will be considered on its own merits with priority consideration given to:

  • small organisations of disability services which have undertaken limited preparation for the NDIS; and
  • organisations looking to provide NDIS services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

 

The support will be provided by NDS and funded by the ACT/Commonwealth's NDIS  Sector Development Fund.  More information is available in that attached flier and at  www.act.gov.au/ndis
