Come along to AACT on Thursday, 26 March at 11am to hear from two wonderful presenters Dr Susanne Ilschner and Ms Bella Insch. Susanne and Bella have graciously donated their time to talk about music and art as therapy. Susanne will discuss Personal Coaching on Piano and Bella will provide an Introduction to Art Therapy. This is a free 'hands-on' session presented especially for parents of children with special needs. This is a chance to learn a few self-care strategies for yourself, and have some creative fun in a safe atmosphere.
About the presenters:
Dr. Susanne Ilschner is an established piano teacher with a background in medicine/neuroscience. Her work with soundscapes is based on neuroscience research, music performance and social music making. Susanne tailors her music lessons to the interests of her student and specific therapeutic goals.
Bella Insch AThR. has a child on the Autism Spectrum and a special interest in harnessing children's unique creative style for increased understanding, empowerment and advocacy. She has designed and implemented a range of strength based art therapy interventions for families, individuals and groups.
