Talking to Children and Young People about Sexuality and Relationships - a free information evening for parents and care givers

Sexual Health and Family ACT (SHFPACT) proudly presents "Talking to children and young people about sexuality and relationships - an information evening for parents and caregivers"

You are invited along to a free event hosted by Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT. Happening on Monday 16th March 2015 from 6pm at the  SHFPACT training room - Level 1 of 28 University Avenue Canberra City ACT 2601.

SHFPACT believes that information about sexuality and relationships delivered in a developmentally appropriate manner is a right for all children and young people.

Talking to Children and Young People about Sexuality and Relationships - an information evening for parents and care givers will cover a variety of topics including the background information to providing accurate, up-to-date and age appropriate information to children and young people.

Topics covered include:
What is sexual health and relationships education?
Common concerns from parents
Why Now?
Practical Tips for Talking to Kids
Facts and Values
How to answer questions

We will also have our Library Resource Centre and Bookshop open - which will provide participants with the opportunity browse a selection of books and information re-sources that can assist in the discussions of these topics within families.
