NDIS participants and people with disability who are likely to be NDIS participants, their families and other unpaid carers who wish to take part in NDIS events can apply for an NDIS Community Conference & Seminar Grant.
IMPORTANT: Even if you are eligible for a grant, it does not mean you are eligible to join the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Likewise, if you do not receive a grant, you may still be eligible for the NDIS. Only the National Disability Insurance Agency can assess eligibility for the NDIS.

You can apply for a grant up to $1,000 (GST ex) including:
- A grant of $500 (maximum) towards the cost of participating in conferences, seminars or training events related to the NDIS. For example, for costs like registration, travel to attend and accommodation once you're there and
- A grant of $500 (maximum) toward the cost of support services you need to attend, like respite or personal support services or
- A grant of $1,000 (maximum) to engage a facilitator to help you to develop or work towards your life goals. For example you might want to set up a Microboard or Circle of Support.
You may only receive this grant once per calendar year.
